On June 19, Aithyra PI Jason Nomburg and Max Perutz Labs PI Thomas Leonard spent their evening at the Kulturcafe Tachles, to talk about “Viruses: Tiny Invaders, Powerful Defenses” and a “Mission Possible: how a 1950s Moonshot Paved the Way to Precision Medicine” with the overall goal of bringing science to the people.
Pint of Science is an annual global science festival that brings researchers out of their labs to share their latest discoveries with the public in local pubs and cafes. The goal is to make science accessible and fun in a relaxed setting. Congratulations to the Pint of Science Austria organizers for setting up an interesting program – the events are booked out. Thank you to Jason, and all scientists who participate in such an outreach activity.
Jason: “I had a great time connecting with the Vienna community to share how my lab is fighting viruses!”
