The City will invest around 170 million euros to build The Life Science Center Vienna in the vicinity of the Vienna BioCenter in Neu Marx. The new center is scheduled to be completed by 2029. AITHYRA will be the first tenant and will occupy around 7,000 square meters, corresponding to 50 percent of the total space. The institute will be involved in the planning of its future work environment. The building will comprise a ground floor, six upper floors, and one basement level, which allows for the integration of server capacity for robotics laboratories and AI applications. The building is designed as an energy‑efficient, sustainable laboratory and office space with a climate‑neutral energy supply and will be certified according to the Gold Standard of the Austrian Society for Sustainable Construction (ÖGNB).
